My name is Langley Allen, and I grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland. I attended the University of Notre Dame, where I earned a degree in Psychology and Political Science. During my time there, I developed an interest in law after taking a Free Speech course that explored our First Amendment right to free speech. This fall, I will be attending the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School as a Toll Scholar. After I graduate, I plan to pursue a career as a civil rights litigator.

I am extremely grateful to have been awarded this scholarship. Attending law school has been my goal for some time, and knowing that it is a financially responsible choice because of support like this is truly humbling. This scholarship allows me to worry less about debt and focus more on performing to the best of my ability throughout law school.
